Solution:

  • Given, average of 18 observations = 124

$ \therefore $ Sum of observations $ =124\times 18=2231 $ According to the question, New average $ =\frac{2232-(46+82)+(64+28)}{18} $ $ =\frac{2232-128+92}{18} $ $ =\frac{2232-26}{18}=\frac{2196}{18}=122 $
