Solution:

  • Let the first number be x and the second number be y. Then, $ x+y=338\frac{1}{3} $ % of y

$ \Rightarrow $ $ x+y=\frac{1000}{3\times 100}y $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ x+y=\frac{10}{3}y $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=\frac{7}{3}y $

$ \therefore $ $ \frac{x}{y}=\frac{7}{3} $
