$ \therefore $ $ \frac{GD}{AG}=\frac{1}{2} $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ GD=\frac{1}{2}\times AG $ $ =\frac{1}{2}\times 4=2cm $ $ [\because AG=4cm] $
