Given, 4 yr ago, Average age of husband and wife $ =25yr $ Sum of ages of husband and wife 4 yr ago $ =25\times 2=50 $ Sum of present ages of both $ =50+8=58 $ Average age of all three people $ =20 $

$ \therefore $ Sum of age of all three $ =20\times 3=60 $

$ \therefore $ Child’s age $ =60-58=2yr $
