- Let the weight of container be x kg.
$ \therefore $ Weight of water $ =2.25-x $ Now, weight of 0.2 part of filled container = 0.77 kg
$ \therefore $ 0.2 part or $ \frac{1}{5} $ part water’s weight $ =0.77-x $
$ \therefore $ Weight of water $ =5,(0.77-x) $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ 2.25-x=5,(0.77-x) $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ 4x=3.85-2.25=1.6 $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=0.4kg $ So, weight of water in filled container $ =2.25-0.4=1.85,kg $
$ \therefore $ Weight of 0.4 part of filled container $ =(1.85\times 0.4)+0.4=1.14,kg $
