Correct Answer: D

Solution:

Since, monkey climbs 6 m in 1 min but in the next minute monkey slips 3 m. Therefore, in 2 min, 3 m height is climbed.

$ \therefore $ 12m distance will be covered in $ 2\times 4=8 $ min. But 1 min was wasted in slipping.

$ \therefore $ Total time = 8 +1= 9 min
