Solution:

let the maximum aggregate marks be $ x. $ Passing percentage $ =\frac{975}{x}\times 100 $

$ \therefore $ Failing percentage $ =7 $ % i.e. 7% $ \times ,x,=,975,-870 $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ \frac{7}{100}\times x=105 $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=\frac{105\times 100}{7}=1500 $
