Solution:

  • According to the question, Amount of sugar in 200 g sugar solution $ =200\times \frac{40}{100}=80,g $ Now, $ \frac{80+x}{200+x}=\frac{50}{100} $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ 160+2x=200+x $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=40,g $
