Options:
A) 2 : 1
B) 3 : 1
C) 2 : 2
D) 5 : 4
Show Answer
Answer:
Correct Answer: A
Solution:
- Let 1 man’s one day work = x
and let 1 boy’s one day work = y
Then, $ 12x+16y=\frac{1}{5} $ and $ 13x+24y=\frac{1}{4} $
On solving, we get
$ x=\frac{1}{100}, $ $ y=\frac{1}{200} $
Ratio of man’s one day work to that of boy
$ =\frac{x}{y}=\frac{\frac{1}{100}}{\frac{1}{200}}=\frac{2}{1} $
