Solution:

  • [d] Let $ D _1=18,cm $ and $ D _2=80,cm $
    $ \therefore $ $ R _1=9,cm, $ and $ R _2=40cm, $ Area of new circle $ =\pi ,{{{(9)}^{2}}+{{(40)}^{2}}} $ $ \pi R^{2}=\pi \times 1681=\pi \times {{(41)}^{2}} $
    $ \Rightarrow $ $ R=41 $
    $ \therefore $ $ D=2\times R=82cm $
