Solution:

  • Let Mini’s age be x yr. Then, Pia’s present age $ =\frac{3x}{4}yr $ Ray’s present age $ =(x-14),yr $ According to the question, $ \frac{3x}{4}=(x-14)+6 $
    $ \Rightarrow $ $ \frac{3x}{4}=x-8 $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ 3x=4x-32 $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ -x=-,32 $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=32 $

$ \therefore $ Ray’s present age $ =32-14=18,yr $
