Solution:

  • Total age of son and mother, $ 2x+7x=2\times 27 $ $ 9x=54 $
    $ \Rightarrow , $ $ x=6 $

$ \therefore $ Mother’s age after 7 yr $ =7\times x+7=7\times 6+7=49,yr $
