Options:

A) Rs. 8000

B) Rs. 4000

D) Rs. 6000

Show Answer

Answer:

Correct Answer: A

Solution:

  • Let income of X and Y respectively 4a and 3a and their expences are 12b and 7b, respectively. Then, according to the question, $ 4a-12b=3200 $ … (i) and $ 3a-7b=3200 $ …(ii) On solving Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get $ a=2000 $ and $ b=\frac{200}{3} $

$ \therefore $ Income of $ X=4a=4\times 2000=Rs.,8000 $
