  • Speed of stream $ =\frac{1}{2} $ (Speed downstream $ - $ Speed upstream) $ =\frac{1}{2}( \frac{36}{6}-\frac{40}{8} )=\frac{1}{2}(6-5)=\frac{1}{2}=0.5,km/h $
