Solution:

  • $ \therefore $ Distance = Speed $ \times $ Time $ =40\times ( 6+\frac{15}{60} ) $ $ =40\times ( 6+\frac{1}{4} )=40\times \frac{25}{4}=250,km $

$ \therefore $ $ Time=\frac{Distance}{Speed}=\frac{250}{50}=5h $
