Population of state Q is 60% of the population of state V. Population of state S is 125% of population of state R. Population of state U is 75 lakh which is 80% of the population of state V and 120% of the population of state S. What is the difference between the population of states P and V (in lakh)?

A) 38.5

B) 33.75

C) 35.75

D) 35.5

Solution:

  • Required difference = Population of state V $ - $ Population of state P $ =\frac{375}{4}-60=\frac{375-240}{4}=\frac{135}{4}=33.75lakh $
