Solution:

  • Let required distance be x km. Then, $ \frac{x}{3}+\frac{x}{2}=5 $
    $ \Rightarrow $ $ \frac{2x+3x}{6}=5 $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ 5x=6\times 5 $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=\frac{6\times 5}{5}=6,km $
