II. $ y^{2}-421=308 $

Correct Answer: E

Solution:

  • I. $ x^{2}=463+321=784 $

$ \therefore $ $ x=\sqrt{784} $

$ \therefore $ $ x=\pm 28 $ II. $ y^{2}=308+421=729 $

$ \therefore $ $ y=29=\pm 27 $ Hence, $ x=y $ or the relationship cannot be established.
