  • I. $ x^{2}=961 $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=\pm \sqrt{961} $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=\pm 31 $ II. $ y=\sqrt{961} $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ y=\pm 31 $ Hence, $ x=y. $
