- Let monthly salary of Ruhi = Rs. x and let she spend $ 7a, $ $ 5a $ and $ 3a $ on rent, transportation and bills, respectively. According to the question, $ x\times 30%=7a+5a+3a $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x\times \frac{30}{100}=15a $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x\times 3=15\times a\times 10 $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=5a\times 10 $ (ii) It is also given that she spends Rs. 3560 on transportation.
$ \therefore $ $ 5a=3560 $ Now, putting the value of $ 5a $ in Eq. (i), we get $ x=3560\times 10=35600 $ Hence, monthly salary of Ruhi = Rs. 35600
