  • Given, population $ =27500 $ Population after $ 2yr=40931 $ Then, $ 40931=27500{{( 1+\frac{R}{100} )}^{2}} $ where, R is the rate of increase.

$ \Rightarrow $ $ \frac{40931}{27500}={{( \frac{100+R}{100} )}^{2}} $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ 1.22\times 100=100+R $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ 122-100=R $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ R=22 $ %
