B, the percentage of Physics professors in the age group 25-34 is 30% Hence, total number of Physics professors in the 25-34 range $ =40\times \frac{30}{100}=12 $ Out of these 12, 25% i.e. $ ( \frac{25}{100} )\times 12 $ are female. Hence, the number of male Physics professors in the age group 25-34 $ =12-\frac{12\times 25}{100} $ $ =12-3=9 $
