Solution:

Let ages of Meena and Seema be $ 7x $ yr and $ 8x $ yr, respectively.

$ \therefore $ $ 8x-7x=3 $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=3 $ Hence, required sum $ =8x+7x=15\times 3=45yr $
