Show Answer
Answer:
Correct Answer: D
Solution:
- Let the marked price be Rs. x. Then, 85% of $ x=340 $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ \frac{85x}{100}=340 $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ =\frac{340\times 100}{85}=400 $
$ CP=\frac{100}{(100+gain)}\times SP=\frac{100}{100+\frac{40}{3}}\times 340 $
$ =\frac{300}{340}\times 340=Rs.300 $
$ \therefore $ Required gain per cent $ =\frac{400-300}{300}\times 100 $ $ =\frac{100}{3}=33\frac{1}{3} $ %.
