Solution:

  • Let speed of 1st car be $ 7x. $ and speed of the 2nd car $ =8x $ According to the question, $ 8x=\frac{200}{5}=40 $ $ [ \text{using, speed=}\frac{Distance}{Time} ] $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=\frac{40}{8}=5 $

$ \therefore $ Speed of the 1st car $ =7x=7\times 5=35km/h $
