  • Given,(A + B)’s 1 day’s work $ =\frac{1}{8} $ … (i) (B + C)‘s1 day’s work $ =\frac{1}{2} $ … (ii) (C + A)’s 1 day’s work $ =\frac{1}{8} $ … (iii) On adding Eqs. (i), (ii) and (iii), we get 2 (A + B + C)’s 1 day’s work $ =\frac{1}{8}+\frac{1}{12}+\frac{1}{8}=\frac{3+2+3}{24}=\frac{8}{24}=\frac{1}{3} $

$ \therefore $ (A + B + C)’s 1 day’s work $ =\frac{1}{6} $ Hence, the work will be completed in 6 days.
