Solution:

  • Total number of students selected for state level competition from Q, S and T $ =\frac{180\times 40}{100}+\frac{320\times 35}{100}+\frac{240\times 45}{100} $ $ =1.8\times 40+3.2\times 35+2.4\times 45 $ $ =72+112+108=292 $
