Solution:

  • Total number of students with IT specialisation from all the institutes together $ =340+300+260+340+180+260+220 $ = 1990 Total number of students with Mechanical specialisation from all the institute together $ =280+360+200+280+320+320+380=2140 $

$ \therefore $ Required difference $ 1900\sim 2140=240 $
