Solution:

  • If the required distance be x km. Then, according to the question, $ \frac{x}{5}-\frac{x}{6}=\frac{12}{60} $
    $ \Rightarrow $ $ \frac{6x-5x}{30}=\frac{1}{5} $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ \frac{x}{30}=\frac{1}{5} $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=6,km $
