Solution:

Area of the rectangular field $ =100\times 80=8000m^{2} $ Area of the field without path $ =(100-2\times 3)(80-2\times 3) $ $ =94\times 74=6956m^{2} $ Area of path $ =8000-6956=1044m^{2} $ Since, the rate of the cost of leveling is $ 5/m^{2}. $

$ \therefore $ The total cost of levelling $ =1044\times 5=5220 $
