  • Marked price of a bag of rice = Rs. 1500 Discount of 10% on $ Rs\text{. 1500}=\frac{(100-10)}{100}\times 1500 $ $ =\frac{90}{100}\times 1500=90\times 15 $ $ =1350 $ Again, discount of 5% on $ Rs\text{. 1350}=\frac{(100-5)}{100}\times 1350 $ $ =\frac{95}{100}\times 1350=\frac{95\times 135}{10} $ $ =\frac{12825}{10}=1282.50 $
