  • Let the four quantities be a, b, c and d. According to the question, $ \frac{a+b+c+d}{4}=\frac{a+b+c}{3} $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ 3a+3b+3c+3d=4a+4b+4c $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ 3d=a+b+c $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ d=\frac{a+b+c}{3} $ = Sum of first three quantities/3
