Solution:

Let Radha’s present age be $ xyr. $ Then, Raj’s age $ =\frac{4}{9}xyr $ According to the question, $ x=2(x-12)-3 $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=2x-24-3 $

$ \Rightarrow $ $ -x=-27 $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ x=27 $

$ \therefore $ Raj’s age at present $ =\frac{4}{9}\times 27=12yr $ Hence, Raj’s age after 5 yr $ =(12+5)=17yr $
