The de multiplexer (DE-MLJX) accepts the multiplexed data stream, separates the data according to the channel, then delivers the data to the appropriate lines. This allows two or more devices to share the same trans-mission line. If the devices is an organisation can efficiently share the communication link then this can drop the cost of the facility by allowing resources to be spread over many users.
